How InkSchedule fees work
Artists can create appointments, send a deposit pay-now link, and show clients clear totals before payment. Every applicable fee is displayed before the client authorizes payment.

2. Booking fees
$10 booking fee
InkSchedule applies a $10 booking fee on appointment payments.
3. Online checkout
3% InkSchedule online service fee
Card payments processed through InkSchedule, including online checkout and Tap to Pay, include a 3% online service fee for payment facilitation, receipts, client support, and appointment management. The fee is calculated on the card-payment subtotal, including the appointment payment, any tip, and the booking fee in that transaction.
The $10 booking fee still applies to the appointment. An in-person cash payment does not use InkSchedule online checkout, so the additional 3% InkSchedule online service fee does not apply.
During appointment creation, artists can enable Send deposit email now. When enabled, the client receives a secure link to pay the deposit immediately.
If disabled, the appointment is still created, but the client does not receive an automatic deposit payment email.
I set it up this way because I want payment tracking to be clean and fee logic to be clear up front. I do not want artists spending mental energy on booking-fee math or online-service-fee edge cases.
Artists should focus on art. The fee logic is for some coding guy to figure out (that is me).
